Crafty Thursday

My spring door wreath looked pretty sad and moldy so I trashed it bringing back a flood of memories of when I picked out the flowers and the ribbon and everything was just so...so another adventure...I was tired of the typical wreath and came up with an idea while walking around the neighborhood.  Oddly, I didn't see anything like it to inspire me - probably just had some happy time to ponder which I don't do much of - well, pondering that is productive anyway.

So, I bought the letter at JoAnn's with a 40% off coupon of course.  Painted it with acrylic - then traced it onto scrapbook paper and cut it about 1/4" smaller to leave a border.  I placed the paper on the letter with the ever-so-magical Mod-Podge, then re-coated it a few times since it is going to be outside.  I hot glued the flower and added the ribbon around the flower, with wire ribbon on top - all ribbon of course @ 50% off...

Easy, different, and pretty inexpensive!  Happy Thursday!

getting started...

Wow...guess I am far behind on technology.  My new interest in Pinterest has opened my eyes to the possibilities of sharing craft information on Blogs and that is really exciting.  I didn't realize how many crafters there were out there like myself...always compelled to "make" something...all the time!!  So here it goes - my 2012 resolution to keep exploring and learning new things...

Random thought...haven't had a Krystal yet this year...something to look forward to, and of course, then thinking of a crafty way to use the box...
